I received the seeds on a Monday, soaked for 4 hours, rinsed and then put soil in an old plastic Tupperware. Next I added the seeds and then soil on top. I put the container in the bathroom with a grow light for a few hours but not overnight. The 1st two pics were from Wednesday morning, next 2 Wednesday night and the last 3 were Friday morning. I moved the container to my closet with the grow light On Tuesday). The light has been on for 8 hours a day but not overnight. At this rate my cat and dog will enjoy the grass sooner than I anticipated. Love that I get to grow this for them! Also there are so many seeds I won't need to buy again for a while.*5 months later writing this. A month ago went to get thr cat grass out of the dark cool cabinet and there were bugs, like ants in yhe bag. The bag had been closed, air pushed out and it's been in a dark cool area. I put the seeds in a bowl that I was adding water to and noticed something move, it looked like an ant... I squished it with a paper wool and then saw 3 more. I put the seeds back into the package and then put that into a plastic bag. Was going to throw out but then contacted the company directly (email) to see if this was normal, no response. After a few days threw it out.Also the growing of the sees were going well until about 3 months. Then the seeds were showing mold in the dirt. I have 2 containers that you can see though, one is Tupperware, the other is an old container that had pre cut deli meat. I've grown the grass the same way for months but the last 3 times I did I would notice mold on the top of the soil or the bottom. The expiration was do far off so I don't know what happened. Wish I had pics to post, but I'm not buying this brand again. Disappointing as I narrowed it down to this, the price was right, the size and the variation of the seeds. Back to the drawing board.
