I purchased several of these lights last year and installed them inside my kitchen cabinets. They've worked well and I love the fact that I can recharge them every couple of months instead of having to put in new batteries. But the new lights I just got are even better than the old ones. You can now choose between white light (bright but a little harsh) and warm light (more pleasant but less bright). I chose the regular white light for use inside my bathroom cabinets, and I can't believe how bright they are! Also, the lights now use a USB-C cable for charging instead of the micro-USB-B cables the old lights used. This is a big improvement because you no longer have to fiddle with the charging cable to get it oriented correctly. The only negative is that the instructions that come with the lights are almost completely unintelligible. But mounting the lights is a no-brainer--the lights have a magnetic strip on the back, so you either stick the light directly onto a metal structure, or you use the (included) adhesive tape to mount the (included) metal strip onto the cabinet, then stick the light onto the metal strip. I've used both methods and haven't had any problems with the lights not staying up. And if you want the light to come on only when you open the cabinet door, set the switch to "G."These lights work great for my purpose. The LED light in the freezer of my Kitchenaid refrigerator died after only 4 years and cost $260 to replace. I would change it myself except the poor design of the compartment made it impossible to grasp and remove. A new light assembly cost $100 and a technician charges $160. Thanks, Kitchenaid, for another design that precludes DIY repair. I got two of these mobile lights for $35 and affixed one to the side of the freezer compartment with the motion detector on. The light turns on when I open the door and turns off after I close it. They are plenty bright and should stay charged since we seldom open the freezer and not for long. I keep the second light charged so when the battery runs down I will swap them. They saved me $225.Edit:I gave up on these lights when they refused to change the very first time they ran down. I was using a very good charger and cable. Since the I purchased a small key chain light that was also rechargeable via USB C. I tried to charge with same cable and charge. This light wouldn't charge either. Puzzled by my awful luck I tried the cable supplied with the light. It worked! It perfectly charged the motion sensor lights, too! A good data cable didn't charge these lights.These LED lights worked until the battery ran down. I tried to charge them using a known good charger and cord. Nothing. Waste of money.Very easy to use. The magnet strip is very strong, gives good light and the motion detector works great. Quick and proper customer service.These were really good for the first 6 months but now they barely hold a charge and one of them does not charge fully at all and dies after just a few motion activations.The lights work very well and they are really bright. The installation was easy and I like that it can be attached and detached with magnetic force. Though, the motion detection does annoy be a little bit, as it has a very wide range and the smallest motion could turn it on. I also like that it is rechargeable and it actually recharges quite fast. Overall great product.Magnetic base sticky tapes into the ideal spot, motion sensitive, and bright enough to see but not too bright.Only had this Item for a couple weeks, one of the lights are on all the time, something wrong with the switch.. Phoned Amazon Canada, this is what I was told. This item was purchased from a third party to bad so sad. You have 2 days to return it for a full refund or we will Give you a voucher to purchase something else.No I want my light fixed. Beware that’s all I’m saying $50.00 wasted.The unit definitely produce enough light but the motion sensor is not very sensitive.If you install it in closet you definitely do not want it to bright against your eyes so you put it facing into the closet so you see it's side, not front and in this case you may have to wave your hands right near the light for it to turn ON. Once switched ON it produces very good lightingUPDATE installed the second light a month after the first one and its motion sensor is even worse so I lowered to two stars. The light is very good but do not rely on the motion sensor. The sensitivity is far from advertised 10 ft, two feet at most and sometimes does not switch ON even if you wave right in front of the sensorI love the lights and the idea of them. We bought them to light up a closet and they do the job great. They are nice and bright, they stick well. I gave them a four because what's not mentioned in the description is you can't have them hanging too close or the light from one will stop the other from activating. We contacted the manufacturer after only one light was consistently lighting up when opening the closet door, and this is when it was explained to us. Being we like the design, had already hung them, how much light they throw and can move the other one (each light comes with 2 adhesive strips) we decided to not return them, but felt this information should have been in the initial description. Also before hanging, fully charge each light. When ours arrived, one was in the "on" position and had no charge left.All in all great lights though, and gave us an inexpensive option to light a small walk in closet that was simple to install.Good light but the motion sensor is so-so. I tested them in our basement with some ambient light at a far distance of about 15 feet / 5 my. It worked well with the 2 lights spaced out a bit.Then I moved them to my shed which is where I intended to use them and they don't work with the ambient light there.The manual is attached (for my convenience and yours). The specs are for the DL1954D on the right with 54 LEDs. The instructional page days it is a thermosensotive infrared sensor AND a light sensor. So it won't come on with too much ambient light. This is likely why some reviewers have said when they are mounted close together that when one light goes on, the others don't. That sensor is bring saturated due to the adjacent light. Make sure they are placed far enough apart if you plan to use them that way or shield the sensors from each other with a divider.So, I mounted them by the door frame using a few small screws and will use them with the switch to turn them off. Since it has the metallic backing plate, I can take them off and move them around. Plus they are in a location where I can bring them in to charge them when necessary. I left the charging cables on the unit so they are always available and I don't have to go looking for them.So it didn't do what I originally wanted but it solvesy problem a different way.They also mount well on a fridge or even some HVAC ducts if you want to use them in a dimly lit areas so there are other possibilities for them.
