This replaced an ugly plastic paper towel holder. I used the adhesive to temporarily hold it in place when I screwed it into the bottom of my kitchen cabinet. The only negative is I use large rolls (Wegman's brand) of paper towels and it is a bit of a challenge to get them onto the holder. The best part of that, however is that it is tight enough to be able to pull a 1/2 strip of paper with one hand.I like this paper towel holder a lot. I didn't use the screws that came with it just the adhesive option and it is STURDY!! I chose to place it underneath the cabinet so if the adhesive did fail and ruined the paint it wouldn't be noticeable which in that case I would use the screws to reattach. The paper towel rolls as it should but doesn't continue to spin with the risk of ruining extra paper towel. The bronze color is nice. Feels of nice quality, not thin and easily bendable but easy enough to pull outward or push inward to adjust to size of the paper towel being used. The small metal piece that helps keep the paper towels from unrolling off the roll as you drive down the road broke off.
